A Miracle

I was the luckiest person in the world to be able to be present for the birth of Dalon Robert Bladen-new baby boy to parents Angela & Brian Bladen! I have been meaning to post this forever, (he was born over two months ago! Shame on me...) because it was one of those milestones in time for me that I will never forget. The feeling of being in the room was so unreal...to describe it would not do it justice. I have seen plenty of babies being born in videos for school but there is nothing like being there and witnessing the miracle of birth with our closest friends. Ang was such a trooper...she made it look soooooooo easy-she really was indredible.

I am also so excited for all the new babies that are coming into the world this year: If I forgot anyone I am sorry...there are so many to keep track of!

Jen Tanaka (my sister-in-law) due September 18-Baby Boy!

Kendall Manwill (my senior friend who helped me pick out my Prom dress as a lowly freshman, singer extraordinair & the person who set an amazing example for me when I was investigating the church-thank you, you don't know how much you meant to me!) due September-whatever 80 days from today is!-Baby Girl!

Jamie Doolan (bestest friend from our old singles ward & high school) due September 29th-Baby Boy!

Noke Sun (Olane's sister which in turn is my sister too!) due October 17th-Baby Boy!

Lindsay & Corey Carlson (friend from Good ole Bio-Medics) due October 30th-Baby Girl!

Olane Harris (my Asian sister) due November 12th-Baby Boy! I got to be in the room for the ultrasound in Montana last week & it was amazing!!! (post to follow of course)

Lindsey Fitch (Jon's cousin's wife)-due in December-Baby????

Ashley Conners ( I just found out today...very exciting for #3!) due December 18-Baby ???

Also some other new babies that I am not sure if I am allowed to say anything yet...I can already think of three! I am keeping a good secret and am sooooo excited!!!

AHA!! Caught in the act!  It was perfect timing on my part--Jonny always says how much he hates the cats and that the second the basement is finished and our junk is out of the garage he is putting them out there.  But it was beautiful-a couple of days ago I seized my opportunity, grabbed my camera, and snuck over the couch to catch him snuggling & cuddling Nicodemus.  I couldn't stop laughing...He tries so hard to be this mean, tough guy, when deep down he has a real sweet spot for our kitties.

Smoke & Flames

Can it please be summer yet? Campfires, smores, brats, cheesy dogs, & hamburgers are calling for us but it is too freaking cold still!  What's the deal? We went to Jordan's farewell bonfire in March-two whole months ago and you think it would be about time the sun decided to come out.  I even kinda miss that nasty smoke smell that lingers on your clothes & hair after BBQing yourself just to get warm.

A few things on my Summer to do List

1.) Officially asking my husband...Can we pleasssssssssssse hike Timp Cave?!  It's incredible to me that we have lived here 5 years and still have yet to do that. 

2.) Hike Timp...anyone up for that? (I know Jonny is too cool or AKA "WUSSY"-I'm only being honest honey!)  

3.) Couples Trip Veterans....Camping Trip!  Where to next?  (sleeping in the car does not count!)

4.) Look as good as Karalee-Hey-I'm kinda starting to enjoy running...

   5.) Get our Cruiser sold...Pics to come-We need all the help we can get!

Mom & Dad...Just for you here are some pics of my office! This month is March Madness & who knew I would have this much fun keeping up with college basketball along with the rest of the guys. If UCLA wins I will be in 4th place!








This is my friend Laurene & our fish tank in the backround. We have the cutest banded coral shark that we hatched from an egg....He was so clumsy at first but now he is swimming around and hunting on his own!






Its a great place to work, & I even get to see Michael Barnett every single day (he keeps us entertained & is noticeably quiet when we are not graced with his presence)!

We are so proud of his decision to serve a mission and he is going to be wonderful because of his gift to talk to people-friends & strangers alike! Here he is with his "dork dot" on March 12, 2008. Where's Milo?

Look closely...What could be more annoying than finding a kitty cat in our 12 ft Christmas Tree?  Milo loves to climb anything & everything...Ladders, the ceiling in the unfinished basement, the kitchen table, whatever...He also loves to chew on fake trees, especially the Christmas kind.  What is not so great however is that he is sooooooooo fat that he knocks our glass ornaments off (& you know Jon is extremely protective of his decorations!)  & broke a couple artificial branches.  Oh well, we've gotta love the guy, he is such a cutie-it is hard to stay mad!
